Ayr vandalism sparks police appeal

Police are appealing for information after damage to a historic Ayr pub.
The Tam O’Shanter on the High Street had its thatched roof torn apart on Monday night by vandals.
Owners say the specialist roof was only restored in 2024 and repairs could now take months.
