Irvine Royal Academy told to improve attainment levels

Evan Warrander

Inspectors have called for additional support to help improve attainment levels at Irvine Royal Academy.

A recent inspection highlighted concerns around pupil achievement, with the school receiving a “weak” grading in that area.

However, the report also praised the school’s leadership and supportive environment rating “very good” for wellbeing, equality and inclusion

Inspectors noted a strong sense of community among pupils, staff and parents as a follow-up inspection is expected within 18 months.
