Police Scotland fine driver after A78 Kilwinning crash filming

A driver has been fined after filming a crash scene on the A78 near the Pennyburn Roundabout in Kilwinning on Tuesday, April 21. Police Scotland officers were dealing with a four-vehicle collision when they spotted the motorist recording the damaged vehicles while driving.
The individual was stopped by officers and issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice, receiving six penalty points and a £200 fine. Police Scotland have also reminded drivers that using a mobile phone at the wheel is an offence and urged the public not to share images of crash scenes online while incidents are ongoing.
